WELCOME TO RETHINK FOOD’S SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY KITCHEN.
Rethink Food’s Sustainable Community Kitchen has existed since 2017, providing over 1.9 million community meals across New York City.
Each week, our Trucking team picks up ~11,500 lbs of food donations and brings them to our Commissary Kitchen, where our Culinary team transforms them into close to 20,000 nutritious, dignified meals. Our Trucking team then delivers them to a dozen community-based organizations at no cost to serve their local neighbors.
For us, a meal is not just a meal—it's a conscious culinary experience meant to serve our neighbors with dignity and respect.

We had to reimagine what was given to us. We were given product as pure sustenance, the discard of what nobody else would eat. We had to refashion that into an entire cuisine.
