Here are a few ways our partners work with us to build a better food system and feed communities:

  • Financially donating to Rethink Food to provide meals for communities

OUR PARTNERS IN ACTION

  • Full Circle Home

Full Circle Brands, a home care products company, announced a new brand called For Good in 2021, which is a family of sustainable and compostable household staples including cling wrap, parchment paper and trash and zipper bags. Central to the For Good brand is a partnership with Rethink Food where 1% of every purchase goes to support its programs.

  • Brookfield Properties and Union Square Hospitality Group

Brookfield Properties and Union Square Hospitality Group partnered with Rethink Food to produce meals for communities across NYC at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The partnership's objective was to re-employ USHG’s restaurant team and distribute 125,000 meals in the South Bronx.

  • The Jam Stand

The Jam Stand, a Brooklyn-based, women-owned premium jam and spreads brand, is providing both financial and in-kind support to Rethink Food through monetary and product donations. The brand also created a co-branded, ‘Buy One, Give One’ Strawberry Jam flavor with Rethink Food to spread awareness of the partnership to their customer base.

  • Blundstone

Blundstone, a heritage footwear brand from Australia, has been providing generous financial and awareness support to Rethink Food. In addition to financial support, the brand collaborates with Rethink Food on a video content series featuring our staff and restaurant partners on the front lines.

  • Evil Twin Brewery

In 2019, Rethink worked with Evil Twin Brewery to produce a co-branded sour pale ale that repurposed excess citrus from the bar and hops to make a beer that was sold at the NoMad restaurant. By facilitating the usage of excess food, we were able to create a product that paid for itself and helped generate awareness about Rethink.

  • Blockchange

In 2021, Rethink Food started accepting donations via cryptocurrency–the value going directly to providing nutritious meals for our communities facing food insecurity. In addition, we also launched an NFT Meal Pack with Blockchange for the holiday season. The campaign featured packs of NFTs representing 10,50, and a 100 meals that collectors could purchase to raise funds for the creation of nutritious meals for New Yorkers impacted by food insecurity. The NFTs were minted on the low carbon footprint Polygon blockchain, which shares Rethink Food’s commitment to sustainability.
